Valentine Kokeshi

And now - real kokeshi!:) Valentinka & Valentino, a tiny Gypsy couple (since in European cultural traditions Gypsies are often represent untamed, free spirit, and depicted as passionate lovers).
Those dolls are really tiny - the smallest kokeshi I ever painted: they are about 1,5" (4 cm) heigh - a penny, and my pinky ring next to them should give the idea how small they are. "In person" they look much cuter, than on the photo.

А теперь - настоящие кокеши! Валентинка и Валентино. Эта цыганская парочка просто крошечная - самые маленькие кокеши, каких я когда-либо расписывала, ростом около 4 см.; вон одноцентовая монетка и моё колечко с мизинца для сравнения. Конечно, в реале они выглядят много симпатичнее, чем на фото.

So tiny, but so cute! I really love your work in miniature.

The other day I was at my grandmother's and someone dropped by. They mentioned someone sending them a card. She pointed out Ms. Elegance that you made for my grandma. She was very proud of it and mentioned how talented you are(she has seen the pictures you have sent me over time).
