My family keeps making me happy today! ♥
Anton just brought me this guy; I was looking for this particular doll (Barbie® Ken doll model#15) in stores for a while now. Me happy!:)
I really like those new collectable models Barbie® is into now. Their faces are quite different from the standard dolls for kids, the pose is different too. Just look how this guy's expression is changing depending from the angle, isn't it cool?:) *jumps up and down* :D

Антон только что принёс мне этого вот паренька, чем немеряно порадовал: я искала эту куклу (Barbie® Ken doll model#15) по магазинам уже несколько месяцев.
Мне ужасно нравятся новые коллекционные Barbie® модели. Их лица/волосы/позы отличаются от детских кукол-игрушек. Вот смотрите как у этого кросаффчега меняется выражение в зависимости от угла лица. Классно, не? :D

Don't know yet if I will keep him like this, of will give him a bit of make-over. I think he can use a lip surgery (and less shiny pink in lips color!), and, probably to get more pronounced and more dramatically shaped eye brows... not sure about it, though... What do you think guys? Should I live his face alone or not?
In any case, this guy is in order to see a hair master, and a tattoo artist, of course >:)

Не знаю, оставлю ли я его как есть, или подправлю малость. Мне кажется, форма и цвет губ могли бы быть получше; а так же брови могли бы быть чуток резче и более изломаны... С другой стороны, я люблю его и таким.... Что скажете? Нужен ли ему мейк-овер или оставить парня в покое?
Ну, и по-всякому ему предстоит встреча с парикмахером и с татуировщиком, это уж само собой >:)

Блин, а вот в детстве я в кукол не играла... :)

OMG, OMG, OMG, The Birthday got a new guitarist!!!! Instead of Imai Akinobu, who left the group several months ago. The new musician's name is フジイケンジ (Hujii Kenji - to the best of my abilities to translate names:) I don't know much about him, except for the fact that he had recorded this monster ACACIA song with Chiba Yusuke and Q;indivi. I just can't wait to hear how he sounds with The Birthday!
And that's how he looks (right, the official The Birthday's new look:) For some reason this photo brought to my mind some old photos of Thee Michelle Gun Elephant with unforgettable Futoshi Abe... must be because of the new guitarist is also a tall guy... guess it was made on purpose...

Вау-вау-вау, у The Birthday завелсо новый гитарист!!!! Вместо Имаи Акинобу, который ушёл несколько месяцев назад. The life is happening too quickly to get journalized.
There was my kid's japanese school play. There was my birthday, there was a party; naturally, there was a bit of an appropriate for the occasion depression- nothing serious, though...
The best thing is that Anton gave me iPod nano (5th Generation, 16 GB ) for my b-day! A purple one!:) What a wonderful toy; I totally love it!:) ♥
There will be finals in two weeks... too bad that with all the spring going on around I don't feel like studying.

Also, I am having a whole bunch of dreams every night; it seems like my brain is never at rest, even when I am sleeping. I wonder for how long it'll go on like this? Guess, I need a healthy and balanced lifestyle... does anyone by any chance know where I can get one?:)

Школьная пьесса у сына прошла успешно; был день рожденья, был парти, соответствующий депрессняк тоже был, но в неопасной форме - вобщем, всё ок.

Из менее радующих меня новостей осознание того, что finals, собственно, через 2 недели; надо учиццо и повторять весь курс, а я, разумеется, в полной весенней прострации.

Сны снятся каждую ночь по целой пачке, кажется, мой мозг вообще никогда не отдыхает - интересно, надолго ли меня при таком раскладе хватит? Надо это... здоровый образ жЫзни, короче...да хде ж его взять?

I thought I'll write a huuuuge post about my favorite musician of all the times, about how great his music is, and how impossible his vocal is, and about his groups and projects, all that jazz punk-rock... But I am not good at writing, so I made a Chiba Yusuke tribute collage instead:))


As for the fan-post... well, I can't imagine a person from my f-list who has no idea who Chiba Yusuke is, but suppose if a stranger will drop by... ;)
チバ ユウスケ - Yusuke Chiba) is the most interesting figure on Japanese rock-scene. His biggest and most known groups/projects are: Thee Michelle Gun Elephant (TMGE) (1991-2003), ROSSO (2001 - 2006) and The Birthday (2006-present), but there were a ton of other cool music and crazy projects, of course. The styles are mostly punk-rock, and garage rock, occasionally with a blues-rock motives. My favorites. Loud and dirty - yet melodious and not-so-simple guitar sound+vocal. Well, it's the thing you either understand, or not. It's the style, I am sure, Jim Morrison would choose to express himself, if he'd live a quarter of a century later....
Chiba's music is aggressive and influential. His vocal is something special as well. He is the type that musical observers would call "a lead-screamer", but since I've never heard about a musical journalist who's not an extremely shallow-minded sucker, let's leave the clichés aside. Strong, broken, emotional - that's the clue words for Chiba's vocal. His voice is the voice of my soul - I knew it as soon as I've heard it for the very first time.
What else? Well, punk-rock is kinda suggests a sort of simplified lyrics, a bit of the primitivism here - because the words are not necessarily "the heavy artillery" of a punk-rocker. Guess it goes to most of the punks around the world. Not to mention, that a lot of Chiba's songs are a sort of a spoken Katakana, so to say - you know, the japanese manner to write foreign words. Sorta... Right, J-rock is a special genre :) And yes. I always was wondering how people can confuse "primitive" and "primitivism" - but it's a whole special punk-rock-lyrics theme - and one of the main reason why I hate pop-music so much.
Geeeee... I said I am not intended to write an article! But I did. he-he. Sorry guys;)) Now it's you turn to laugh, because now I have to translate it all in russian:)
Okay, the post won't be complete without the birthday-boy's song! So here we go! It's my favorite song by The Birthday" - in case if somebody doesn't now yet;) - yes, both Chiba and yours truly are fuckin' romantics inside.... now shut up!:) - Not the best video, I know - guess I'd posted all the best ones earlier...;)
So yeah, Mr. Yusuke...Otanjou-bi omedetou gozaimasu... Da suki da yo, you know...;)))

And... you know what? I't a bit depressing strange to realize all of a sudden that your idol - a freakin' recognized and famous rock-star - is just a few years older than you are...
