Actually, The Birthday just released a new single, and they are going to release another one in a couple of months. Also, Chiba's first ever solo project is done and recorded, it will be released some time this fall along with the movie that it had inspired... But I'll better make a special post about it next time - or you can get an impresion that Chiba is not a complete idiot;p

That's how The Birthday's new single "ROKA" cover will look like. It'll be released in a month from now.

Yeah! It's finally finished! Add Gretsch guitars to cars, guns, and other objects that I find hard to draw!:)
I have a question, though: What do you think of the composition? I mean the placement and the proportions of the two main picture elements? Should I made the one with the face smaller/higher? Any other suggestions? Thank you!

Всё, закончила! Ура! Добавьте гитары Gretsch в список объектов, которые тяжело рисовать!
Есть вопрос: что думаете про композицию картинки? В плане пропорций и расположения двух основных элементов? Надо ли с этим ещё поиграть - скажем, сделать панель с лицом поменьше, или поднять её выше, etc. - или не стОит? Что скажете?

Oh yes, and the shirt's in "eat your heart out, Benzie!" style is totally irresistible; I want one like this! Black-and-pink floral is my favorite!:D

Aug. 30th, 2011 01:32 amThe Birthday: an old song with a new guitarist. To me this Kenji Hujii guy sounds sorta-kinda rather closer to TMGE and their unforgettable Futoshi Abe (exactly what Chiba was after, I suppose), then to Imai Akinobu's guitar which I so got used to. Still, he is good.
