Till then, an inspirational piece: a design on a cotton fabric, Russian, end of XIX century, I think. I also think that it's beautiful... but one thing that I can't understand is what it's more influenced with, the traditional Chinese, or contemporary European styles? 8)

Вот вам пока узор ткани трёхгорной мануфактуры, конец XIXв., наверное. Очень красиво, на мой взгляд, только вот не могу понять под каким влиянием они такой дизайн создали, под традиционным китайским, или тогдашним-современным европейским?8)

Date: 2007-08-16 10:39 pm (UTC)At first glance I want to say Chinese, but on second look there is a definite influence of European. I sure can't tell which is stronger. On gut reaction I say Chinese but the Wu in me makes me biased.
