It occurred to me, that the Addams females are an excellent illustration of the embodiments of the Triple Goddess:)


Actually, I started the picture a while ago - at February of March, I think, then scowling_hermit was so enthusiastic about the Addams Family movies:) I made Wednesday then, and for some reason (or just without any) I had stopped to work on it. About a month and a half ago I found it, and decided to continue, and made Morticia. Then, predictably, I had stopped to work on it. Several days ago I remembered about it again, and this time I actually had finished it:) Yeah...

...So get a witch's shawl on.

Мне вот пришло в голову, что Аддамсовские женщины - прекрасная иллюстрация воплощений Триединой Богини: Дева, Мать, Старуха:)

Картинка с "нелёгкой судьбой" : я её начала черт-те когда ещё, в феврале, то ли в марте, в период бурного увлечения scowling_hermit "Семейкой Аддамс". Сделала тогда Венсди и забросила картинку. Месяца полтора назад снова нашла её, и нарисовала Мотришу. И снова бросила. И вот несколько дней назад снова вспомнила про неё, и закончила наконец:)

Oh it took me a minute to take in all the details and I nearly missed the moon symbols beghind the group!

You know that is a very good theory about the Addams women. I had never seen it that way. YOu did a great job bringing in all the aspects.

Favorite details:
I love that Wednesday has a doll head in her pocket.
Morticia is simply divine. I can never do her so well. I also love her necklace!
The Elder Mrs. Addams, I love her pose, her laugh and her nails. The shawl is great, too.
Also, the coat of arms is a very regal touch.
Good job.

oh my-so many details. I really like this. I loooove the way you've done Morticia- she's so elegant. And that crazed look on Grandma's face is just perfect.

Thank you! I think that the background is rather detail-less and empty, but since I'd turned it into a symbolic picture of a sort, then I guess it's ok:))

I have a few different pre-made signatures, that I am usually putting on my pictures. Usually it's my initials in Theban alphabet, but sometimes I use this one...

Почему-то бабушка выглядит самой жизнерадостной :) ..подумалось, что, видимо, здоровый дух не всегда в здоровом теле :) И мудрость от прожитых лет зачастую делает людей с годами более счастливыми :)

Ой, а эту картину я как-то пропустила:) Она классная. Мне большe всего нравится бабушка. Она самая живая из всей тусовки:) У Венсдэй тоже отличное выражение лица. А вот Мортиша как-то мрачновато получилась. По-отдельности она прекрасна, но в совокупности с суровой Венсдей получается некоторый избыток мрачных лиц, на мой взгляд. Улыбочка бабушки тогда как-то выбивается из общего настроения:) Я бы изобразила Мортишу с коварной полу-улыбкой:))) Или в какой-то другой позе, а то они с Венсдей больно статичные по сравнению с живенькой бабулей:) Но это мое личное ощущение!

Мне тоже Гранмама больше всех тут нравится - я её последнюю делала, уже с новой "символической" идеей для картинки... Я каждую из них, видишь ли, с перерывом в 2 месяца где-то делала - вот и получилось стремновато... Но всё равно, по-моему свелось вместе не так уж и плохо:)

Жутковато-готишное ощущение есть, значит атмосфера удалась!:))) И идея с "тремя этапами жизни" тоже хороша:)
