How to dress like a real samurai

Here is a video of kitsuke - putting on of traditional Japanese clothing. Just an everyday man's attire: han-juban, kimono and obi, with hakama, pretty much like my son was wearing for one of the japanese plays. Also, there's a brief instruction how to fold your hakama properly.

So yes, it's hakama and not a kilt is the sexiest piece of a male clothing ever. And I'd definitely recommend this video to all the fan-fiction authors, who always have their beloved "historical" anime/manga characters undressed for a "relationship" in a split second... No, ladies, even with each other's impatient help those guys won't be able go through all those four belts that fast!:))
Now, if you think that this was complicated... just imagine how a geisha is putting on her elegant colorful outfit - not to mention her elaborated make-up and hairdo... Why our part is always harder that of our men? :)

Как одеваюццо настоящие самураи

...Как? - да очень просто: сперва надеваешь кирасу цуру башири, потом, с помощью оруженосца, ватагами... Ну ладно-ладно, шучу, без доспехов:) Просто я нашла такое вот милое видео кицуке - ежедневный, рутинный процесс надевания традиционной одежды, в данном случае мужской: хан-дзюбан, кимоно, хакама, и пояс оби. Примерно такой, в какую мой сын был одет для одной из школьных японских пьесс. Плюс - как правильно сложить хакама.
Ну и... совершенно очевидно, что имено хакама, а не кильты являются наиболее сексапильными предметами мужской одежды всей времен и народов:) А, кстати, в этой связи я бы рекомендовала это самое видео всем фанфикшн-аффтарам, которые имеют привычку раздевать для "отношений" своих обожаемых персонажей из историчненьких аниме/манга за доли секунды.... Не, барышни, даже с нетерпеливой помощью друг-друга этим ребятам никогда так быстро не выпутаться из четырёх поясов!:))
Да, а ежели оно показалось слишком сложным... то вообразите, как гейша облачается в свой прекрасный наряд... не говоря уж про причёску и грим... И-ех, и почему наша жизнь всегда сложней, чем у мужиков самураев? :)

I'd love to be able to dress in the traditional clothing!

It does seem that women always have it harder than men when it comes to garments. If you want to avoid a long tirade, never ask my grandma about this question. Haha She could talk at length about corsets and garter belts.

AND I really like the idea of dressing in a formal and ritual way. I also like the thought of a geisha....a walking work of art. It amazes me.

a walking work of art is an awesome definition of a geisha.
I'd love to dress in a formal kimono, even if it'd take forever! Oh, and the make-up. Includind the back of the neck... like a real walking work of art!:)
